Thanks for the response. If I had pulled my ead oout and read some of the comments, I would have kown. They say here in NW Arkansas we don't have enough wind to justify a wind system, however your hybrid system sounds intresting, also sounds expensive. What info do you require to give a ball park estimate. Ed

Hello Samuel
Yes I have been keeping up with the home wind turbines. They have been making great advances. They have a home wind turbine manufacturing company here in Norman, OK. I would very much like to get in this field, but have not had much luck. Where I live is very windy and flat land. There is a lot of land that is red dirt that can't be used for anything. Plus there are alot of plateaus the flat top mountains that would be great for turbines. There are a lot of farmers who live in the area also that I feel would like nothing else than to be self sufficient and not have to pay the local government for the power. Plus they have the resources and the land to put them on, but I have not had any luck with any companies. It sounds like you are doing great. I wanted to take a installation class, but they seem to be so many different types out there that I did not know which way to go. If you can give any advice or help it would be great. Thanks Todd

Updating my Facebook with some recent installation pictures of Home Wind Turbines that are being installed all over the united states. Our proven wind/solar hybrid technology is better than any other existing system. Have a look, become a customer, or become a dealer.

By the way I have recently moved to Fairview, OK Which is up north ans has a lot of open plains not sure on spelling. It also has a lot of what I call plateaus which are flat top hills of mini mountains. Which if that can support them would be great because they are up high and unobstructed. Northern Oklahoma is flat. Thanks Todd

Sure wish I could afford your windmill. We are moving to 10 acres in Granbury, Texas soon. If you ever need a volunteer windmill keeper, call me..

Hi,
Is there anything renters can do? Heck, we can't even insulate our place or replace windows or anything because we rent an apartment. Our electric bill is thru the roof due to these issues. It seems all "what you can do to cut consumption" is geared strictly to "homeowners". HELP!

Hi, I have wrote to you before, and you said that the Detroit Metro area still has openings for dealerships? I also have a question about your turbines, do you manufacture them here in the U.S.? This is really important to me that you use U.S. labor for manufacture. Thanks Tim Heming

Thank you for the comment. Would love to have you on my friends list. I looked at your web site. Very interesting. My husband and I are very interested in wind power. We live in a very small "country" Texas town with a lot of flat land. Sorry about the reply taking so long. Haven't been on the site in a while. Will check back more often and look forward to hearing from you

I'd like to know all the permits, and information on instalation of this product. Where do I collect this info for the State of Texas.
Thanx for yer time.

Those look pretty good, sir. I like the way you think. Are the kits more DIY or KIT? LOL I mean can anyone get one in a box, with some assembly required, and have one on their roof in a day? We need to think mass marketing and distribution. Maybe a Federal grant would enable you to FREELY distribute them to the most needy.

The wind maps mean nothing if you have the right design.... :)
It is always somewhat windy here and we are not rated very high on the scale. Slightly larger blades, perhaps with solar ability, will catch every whiff of wind and ray of light. We also have lots of mountains and mountain TOPS in West Virginia... Up to where the most wind blows.

How much for a unit? Need to mass-produce (more jobs created) to bring down costs? Think big. About 100 million...

Let me know what you think.

Thanks for the e-mail. Residents in rural areas will be able to use wind turbines. But residents in a community will have to educate their local municipality and homeowner's assn. before installing this system.
What I like about this system is the size. It would be very difficult to argue against this system because it is compact. I would suggest you consider substituting white with a black or brown color so that it would blend with a roof. This would help with the visual apperance in a suburban setting.
Work with your local zoning/township office. They will probably support your effort but you may have to go through a process of meetings to get approval for a system. But this will get you press coverage and then other homeowners will be following your lead!

I am new to Texas and lived in Florida and TVA country in TN. It seems to me that Texas govt. has used deregulation to create confusion and subterfuge, calling it a competitive market. The energy companies used IKE, for example, to artificially run up electricity bills on people during a time when most didn't even have power to their homes. Most of these companies are not responsive in helpful ways, as i seems a service provider should be. It's sort of like a "take it or leave it" attitude and, after all, we know this business is collusive and no matter what their name, buys off the same grids.

I'd like to know more about self-sustaining home energy although I don't know that I will be using it here as my wife lost her job along with 4000 other people at UTMB....another business that can't seem to satisfactorily manage itself.

Just read your page over at Windenergy7.com. Until I read that, I had no idea even of the concept of net-metering. I appreciate the info and will pass the link on.
