A Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family as well, Yes, Herman is home safe and warm for the Holiday, He is finishing up a wind project in Iowa (burr). Looks like with all the money you are saving in heating bills you will be able to travel more often! Keep up your good work. It's too bad we can't post pictures anymore, I miss seeing your great photos. Leslie

Hello Walter
I have been offline for a while but i'm back now. Hope to do whatever i can to promote Pickens Plan! Have no idea what that would be? Maybe you could steer me in the right direction?
Ken
Every seed takes time to germinate.
So too in the fields of the soul.
We must never give up and sow
because the results do not
immediate to our eyes.
Let us wait with patience.
In the right moment, the seeds
have driven in the soil of hearts,
there will produce mature fruit.
Understanding and sow Joy, Peace and
Courage, Forgiveness and Love.
Jesus bless you have a good night.
Lee, I can't believe you wrote. I have meaning meaning to get in touch with you for days, lol.
All is well, Herman is in nuclear for now waitng for the wind to pick up again.
Good for you, We have been spending more time in the pool since we haven't been running the air during the day and it has been a HOT summer here......... Did you travel any this summer ?
I will let you know when Herman gets back on the wind side. Take care and thanks for keeping in touch....... Leslie
Glad this very long, cold, snowy winter is finally behind us. The last time it hit 63 degrees here was back on Nov.15th (6 months ago!!!!!!!). Anyway my five panel system has been able to maintain 250 gallons in my tank at around 120 degrees most of the winter. Working on a whole new heating system for the house incorporating the panels, tanks, turbine wood boiler and propane back-up. I'm guessing I'll be done mid-July. I'll post pictures.
I'm also working on a roof system for the house so I can grow grass on it. We designed it for the weight but I have never gotten to it. The roof is a flat, shed style and has a 2.4/12 pitch and I have been testing different ideas for the last three winters. I'm going to use a 40 mil HDPE liner laid over strips of plastic (for drainage and venting). Two inches of 3/4" stone will be placed on top of the liner. Believe it or not this only weighs in at 9 lbs/sf.. By blocking the UV's from the current rubber rolled roofing material I'm hoping it will last longer than I will. There's always something going on here.
Great pictures! My hope is that the USA will soon leap into this arena and be the leader we need to be within the global landscape. Thanks for your work and sharing. Jim
I'm very interested in your experiences in Germany and western Europe. I ahve traveled to Europe and Asia but not there. I did watch the video you recommended and the one above. It's more important then ever that we pick up the pace in this country or we'll be buying wind turbines, solar panels and the energy they produce from off shore. One wind turbine has tons of steel and 8,000 parts. Our dissapearing steel industry as well as our abandoned auto plants are prime facilities for this utilization.
We should not wait until we become customers for these products instead of suppliers here and abroad. The new jobs and resulting support to our falling economy is waiting in the hollwed out shell of our former industrial prominence. It really is time to regain, what we gave away.
Thanks for the video on Germany's progress toward 100% sustainability. It's simulataneously inspiring and dissappointing. Inspiring because the potential is becoming reality...and dissapointing because we are not keeping pace with that progress in this country. Europes progress is outlined in this article as well...they've been at it for 10 years.
Lee, I did receive the email, and it is very much appreciated! I have replied to you by email. You are on the right trck, and maybe because of yours and other Friends like you, I can get myself on the right track!
Thanx a Bunch!

Hello again Walter! thank you very much for the support and vote of confidence! so far I have found nothing but a warm and welcome greeting from everyone that I have interacted with! I appreciate the opportunity to be apart of the PickenPlan, and it's dedication to the new Green Energy programs! I look forward to any and all help in my quest, and in return, maybe somehow, I can find a way to be able to do my part to return the favor(s).
Walter, i see where you have left me several comments, but i guess I really don't know how to navigate the website, because I can't find them on my profile...
maybe you could email me with a couple of suggestions of how to navigate to current comments, etc. My email is thegarbers@charterinternet.com
thank you,
Scott
Hello again Walter, I just read the next message and realized your response was about the sign I had Questioned. Thanx again and If you or anyone else that reads my profile has any ideas of how my area of expertise could be put to use in some form of making a better living (other than selling Lumber), then I would greatly appreciate any info towards that.
Scott
Hello Walter, thank you for replying to my question! I thought the (Lightning) picture was an awsome site. And thanx for the info on the wind farms as well! Like I mentioned, in my profile, I am new to this, and have just realized that I need to log on more often to keep up with things.
Scott
