Hi Heidi
The clock is ticking. Both Thomas Freidman and The Gang of 20 have told us (see DAILY PICKENS) the only way to change America's energy policy is to build this historical, grass roots effort to un-ignorable heights. There are less than 75 days until Inauguration Day. We must concentrate on the job at hand. CAN YOU GET 10 signed pledges faxed in asap? Many hands make light work.
PLEASE,
Kim

Hi Heidi
It has been a while since we kept in touch last!
We are now over 1.2 million suporters. We will need many more if we are to beat back the damn lobbyists and special interests. Can you help with the pledges? Every American needs to sign on. With pledges we can fan out and reach so many. It is an easy ask- Boone has done the hard work. I was able to get 300 signed in the first 4 days - everyone wants to to get off of foreign oil. We may never have a golden opportunity like this again!
ARE YOU IN?
Best

Hi Heidi
What adorable kids! Glad to connect with you again! Need your help.
I know that we are friends, and you get email updates from me, however, I think this is so important, I am reaching out personally.
I AM CREATING A "100 CLUB"... members that have faxed in 100 or more signed pledges. So many thousands of people signed onto this site and said they would do "anything" or "everything" to help. Here is your chance!
We have the mechanism to build our numbers, we need to use it. Pledges are a very easiest ask- Boone has done the hard work. All we need to do is hitch our wagon to his horse and plow to the finish. I have sent in 240 so far. The office has recieved thousands, we need millions.
It comes down to.... DO WE HAVE THE FORTITUDE to really go the distance on this? I sure hope so. We aren't asking folks to take up arms. But, THIS IS OUR REVOLUTION. And we have a very small window to get it done. I would like your help.
Are you able to help us fight for this? Are you in?
Best,
Kim
Just 10 a day for 10 days! For our energy future, isn't it worth it?
Heidi I would like to chat and see how we can help one another. I just completed a lengthy project and have the next few weeks to network and catch up on a few things.
Joined the site you requested from me, please check out my page on the pickens plan site and www.zazzle.com/samfleet
Thanks and great to be friends! Have a Windy Day! Sam
Nice to meet you Heidi... If there is anything I can help you with please ask. Welcome to the Pickens Plan Community.
Good News #1
A recent prediction by the American Solar Energy Society found that energy efficient businesses were responsible for the creation of nearly 8.5 million jobs in 2006, and by 2020 that number is expected to reach 30 million.
Good News #2
The US National Association of Home Builders announced that more than 1,000 builders and refurbishes have earned its Green Professional Certification since it was introduced February on this year.
This is phenomenal growth!
My skill sets are website development, graphic design and network marketing. Last Spring a small group of us launched a local city magazine that focuses on anything Green. We also launched a green campaign called “Kiss The Earth Green”, registered a few domain names and launched a website to manage the new traffic and database. The magazine and website have surpassed all of our expectations.
As an entrepreneur and home business professional, my plan is to help drive this new green industry forward and position myself for its expected phenomenal growth. Are you having success with something you want to share? I have a marketing system that will help sell or expose any product, service or idea you have. I also have an idea for the beginner who is looking to generate an extra income from home.
IBERDROLA RENEWABLES announced today that construction is underway on a 50 megawatt (MW) wind farm, the Buffalo Ridge Wind Power Project near White, South Dakota. The project, expected to be complete in 2009 contingent upon passage of the Production Tax Credit, will export enough energy for approximately 15,000 homes each year.
"The construction of yet another large-scale wind energy project in Brookings County by IBERDROLA RENEWABLES represents South Dakota's willingness to be a significant contributor to a new energy economy that lessens our dependence on foreign oil and enhances our national security," Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin said. "Not only will Brookings County benefit from the economic development and jobs that accompany this new project, customers in Indiana will gain from utilizing this clean, renewable source of energy that symbolizes the future of our country's energy economy.
I offer my best wishes to IBERDROLA RENEWABLES as they move ahead with Buffalo Ridge and will continue my work at the federal level to ensure that the incentives and support are available for future projects that capitalize on the role rural America can and will play in moving our country toward greater energy independence."
The power generated from this South Dakota wind farm will be purchased by Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO), serving more than 445,000 electric customers across the northern third of Indiana.
"With our successful MinnDakota Wind Power Project also operating in Brookings County, IBERDROLA RENEWABLES is delighted to once again bring jobs and additional property taxes to the community," said Tim Seck, director of development for IBERDROLA RENEWABLES. "In this case, South Dakota is able to export clean, renewable wind power to our customer NIPSCO just as South Dakota farmers export corn and soybeans."
"Increasing NIPSCO's renewable energy capacity with wind power is a positive step for the environment and for our customers," said Eileen O'Neill Odum, Chief Executive Officer of NIPSCO. "A competitive bidding process was conducted before selecting a supplier, and Buffalo Ridge and Barton Windpower offered the most cost-effective and reliable sources of wind energy for our customers."
The Buffalo Ridge Wind Power Project will include 50 Suzlon turbines. As with the MinnDakota wind project, IBERDROLA RENEWABLES will build and operate the new wind farm.
IBERDROLA RENEWABLES is currently the world's leading provider of wind power with more than 8,000 MW of wind power in operation globally now.
Between 2008 and 2012, the company will invest $26.8 billion globally to achieve installed capacity of close to 18,000 MW and production of more than 42,000 GWh.
IBERDROLA RENEWABLES will invest $8 billion in the U.S. between 2008 and 2012 and plans to install 1,000 MW of wind power each year in the U.S. www.iberdrolarenewables.us.
Thanks for your comments. I know if I can get the word out people will see the potential and bring their passions to it. It is important to me that it is considered to be part of the solution besides solar and wind. Wave power is much great than solar an wind if we can put it to use. I have a seven year old daughter and 3 year old twin sons. Our living rooms like similar. :)
If you want to sell solar electrical energy back to the grid in your area; what kind of equipment will you need to buy in addition to the solar panels? And how much will it cost?
Why is Alabama not on your list of states that you service? Also, does the grid have to buy excess energy that the solar panels produce in excess of the house usage?
I joined the Pickens Plan about a week ago and have spent some time today looking over the features of our website. I just wanted to introduce myself. I’m very excited about our community because I’m also a member of one.org (U2 – Bono – World Hunger) and have personally seen the results of people banning together and influencing our government. The Internet has made it possible. Please keep in touch. All the best, Luis Garcia…
No wind turbine or anything else now. My husband and I are renting, we're both disabled on very limited incomes, don't know how to go about making changes without money.
