I am a great supporter of Alternative Fuels and I really believe that two fueling options should be mandated for all vehicles produced.
With that being said, I need some help getting this liquid fuel option started in Amarillo Texas. CNG is not sold on a retail level here in Amarillo, Propane is readily available though.
I would like to sell CNG Fuel here in Amarillo and also offer an optional CNG Fuel System Installation at a reasonable price. I would also like to take full advantage of Federal and State Rebates.
I am planning to hold a personal project event and add an LPG or CNG, haven't decided yet, Fueling Option to a 1994 Astro Van. We don't have much experience. So I thought maybe this organization could help us out.
Would ther be a way to get a representative to Amarillo TX to do a live installation demo of a CNG/LPG fueling system on a 1994 Astro Van. If so, could your organization sponsor a live Installation here in Amarillo?
I would also like to present an option to all, that by attending they could also add a conversion option at the same time, if they buy an LPG/CNG Fueling System.
This would give a lot of people a chance to feed this movement and take advantage of the training on the spot.
Hi, Lisa! Got an e-mail from Ty yesterday, and have sent invites to all the District TX-13 members regarding meeting tomorrow for him to fill us in on the next "action plan"
I don't know how far Paducah is from amarillo, but if you can make it, we will be meeting at:
Country Barn Steak House
I didn't know if you will be able to make it or not, but hopefully you will. Were you doing the conference call with Mr. Pickens as well? If you were, then you probably already know what needs to happen, but would love to see you anyway!
thanks for your help and support in this district
Hey, Lisa, just wanted you to know that a few of us got together yesterday afternoon to see if we could start organizing things in our district. Ty was there and a few he knew who supported the PP and are in our district. We discussed and decided on a phone call campaign on the 5th of February to Senator Cornyn and Congressman Thornberry. I spoke with Tylan this afternoon and he told me the Senate passed the Stimulus plan, and it will go to congress now. Senator Cornyn did not vote in favor of, but we decided to let his office know anyway that we are in support of the Alternative Energy Components of the Stimulus Plan and encourage him to support those areas of the plan for his constituents.
I don't know what we will do in the future, but we would like to meet again and have you there. I don't know how far Paducah is, but maybe we should plan a central meeting some time soon. contact me anytime if you need me to do something in this area for the district.
thanks for all your work in helping lead this district.
Sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to you. I'll do better. Iv'e been in contact with Mac Thornberry's office over the last couple of weeks. They have been a little slow comming around but I'm not giving up.
To be continued........
Hey Lisa! just wanted you to know that we are still recruiting for our district. I would like to invite you to join the Energy Party for Texas as part of the Energy Party. It is a very active group with lots of incredible information on it. we are working on a data base for the group to share information regarding grant/loans/gifts/tax breaks/state/local/federal regulations and codes for people who would like to become energy self sufficient and not contribute to larger carbon footprints...
thanks for leading the 13th Congressional District with Tylan. I am looking forward to working and recruiting and educating Texas with (y'all) you!
Geoffry suggested an inauguration party on the 20th. I'm thinking about hosting one at my house. You and Tracy Barber are the only PP members that I am aware of in the area to invite. If you know anyone else, let me know. I will have my assistant, Pam Mason here and a few more people that might be interested in the PP. Please let me know if you are interested in attending.
Happy New Year Lisa!
I contacted Michael Seeds this morning. He is the Energy Legislature Assistant for Representative Mac Thornberry. I asked him if they supported the PP. His answer was that they support Wind Energy and other Renewables, but Mac does not sign pledges. I'm sending him the PP pledge anyway and I will follow up in a few days. Looking forward to meeting you!
Welcome Lisa! thank you for volunteering. I live and work in amarillo, and am interested in encouraging and educating people in this area. i am willing to do some hands on education and information campaigns for the PP and the further development of alternative energy here! i want to leave a better place for my kids and grandkids...thanks again, tracy
We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement. Please, I ask the first sites you visit to get accurate info and articles to see pretty much what the plan is about and where the plan stands. Some are long, please; take the time to get all the details.
On the home page, click on About The Plan ~ Boone Cam ~ Blog
Our future is focus 1- at this point in time! If not now, When? If not you, WHO?
~~~~~~to quote, Earl Scharff, from RI,~~~~~~~
~~~~~"FOR INFLUENCE, YOU NEED NUMBERS!"~~~~~
Mr. Obama has voiced that eliminating the dependence of foreign oil is a top priority.
[Click here], to enter your zip code and be paired up with members in your area. If you want to be a leader for your area, you can also sign up on that page. If you would rather wait on a leader role, that’s ok we need helpers. An organization cannot be all chiefs.
There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
After you have read the sites I mentioned, if you need anything else to help you, while you help the push, please stop by. I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause.
This is an easy first task I ask of you-
~~~~~~~PLEASE TAKE A PETITION TO WORK TODAY!~~~~~~
I am asking everyone to please take petitions to school or work or wherever you are going today! Everyone wants to get off of foreign oil; we just need to gather their names. WE CAN DO THIS, with everyone’s help. [Click here] for the Petition, then copy or print 4 or 5 and ask everyone to help, better everyone's future. Again, Welcome; Tom- Welcome wagon crew!
Welcome and THANK YOU for joining the Pickens Plan. I just wanted to let you know that a real person out here appreciates you taking that first step.
After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to guide your path. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and when you are comfortable, letting others know about the website. The people here are interested in making the plan a success and those you invite should be able to see for themselves that this is the right place to be.
Here are further steps you might consider.
- Sign up to lead or help on the District page.
- Visit the My Energy page and get involved.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202)225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.
Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.
