Anachronism has a building that is heated by sucking heat from the attic because the roof is in the real sense a great big collector. I am building a wall sized panel which is little more that a plastic bag. Insulated back and clear vinyl front. Any ideas on that?

Why don't you look into affiliate marketing. Create your own Sustainable Community Association for Warr Acres, set up a ning for the group and get all the locals to join. All the politicians will have to join, and then the people selling green stuff and very quickly you will have THE site for your community. And go to OurGV or Shuffler or backpage.com or there are a few others who give free lessons - free join up. OK I give up. I feel as if I am talking to my stupid kids. You have a lot more going for you than you give yourself credit for Gregory. Very soon all commerce will be conducted through the internet, so you had better learn how it all works. It is organizing itself now. When complete people will look at it and say - I wish I had seen that coming. The only way you can be first is if you are the first. Just do it!
We presently have two major cities with employees on strike. These people are so out of touch with reality that we may need a total system failure to affect change.
The Bata shoe lady is funding building of a sustainable community designed by one of our Universities. They must have been working on this for some time, because it is ready for GO.
And yes we need a whole new local Government system - we will get one as a by-product of the change in banking.

Stakeholders in FARE include renewable energy producers, individual residents of the state of Florida, community organizations, municipalities, elected officials, ranchers, farmers, commercial real estate holders, developers, manufacturers, non profits and associations.
Our goal is to represent one collective effort showing support for advancing rapid, widespread deployment of renewable energy in the state of Florida. Our alliance will act as a public face in front of elected officials, potential members, community organizations, municipalities, like-minded initiatives, and the media. The alliance will also serve as an information hub, acting as a central source for collection and distribution of news, whitepapers, press releases and member activity.

I have three inventions or break throughs for you tonight. Each one is patentable and you know what is valuable. Perhaps they will not meet your criteria, or maybe they will...
First idea was about the valence cascade problem caused when scientists from the NREL tried to force off all 8 electrons off the outer electron shell of Gallium along an Indium and Copper pathway, with the sun being the catylist. The problem was that the cascade would fail fairly fast at only a few nanoseconds per reaction. So, they assumed they could not get it to last longer or to continue the cascade further than a few molecules deep at any one time. But the problem was with the metal Copper that only has two electrons to trade, and it shut down the cascade each time. So, the solution is simple. Just anodize the copper core with gallium and/or Indium, so that that the cascade continues and continues all the way down the conduit, via anodized wire, until it gets to the inverter, that absorbs the cascade and the output is tremendous, at nearly 4 times the average electron dispersement as usual, which means that a 20% efficiency would be an 80% efficiency! The costs are very low and the results make solar energy hugely affordable for all people! Next idea is to create a new wire design that has plastic/aluminum in the center of a hollow copper wire, at the same size as normal wire of the same resistance levels. The savings is huge, with little difference in maleability or flexibility. The benefit is: not as much copper to make the same quality of wiring! Third idea is the Soil Analysis Device, that has an attachment that can download reports on each soil test performed up to 200 per charge. Each report will include detailed analysis of soil chemical composition, PH, and micro organism detection processes that detect nematodes and other pests that harm roots. You just upload by attaching a bus cord and upload to a portable computer, Laptop, Cellphone, or even an IPOD! It will revolutionize soil testing and detection gear for professional gardeners. Debbie, as far as I know, the job is a physical job that has requirements within a building and interaction with many individuals, so the job can't be accomplished easily via long distance. It is a real job, however, and you have to have the required skills, which are not that difficult to find in the East coast areas. I expect it to be filled very soon.

Regarding your post of the job at the Higher Learning Commission in IL, is the job there physically or can someone do the job at a satellite location? Also, do they have offices in other parts of the U.S.?
Brian, many people look at what you think is insignificant and see a fuller person, because we are a culmination of our total personality, and sometimes jobs need such a "fluffy" view, so that the total creative areas are also exposed. Environmental science isn't exactly fluff, however, and it might get you a position you would never have guessed would come as a result. I recommend you just add those entries that show your total school work and let the reviewer find that aspect that they need. You may be very qualified in your field, but PMs and ITR people look where you would not.Thanks for the reply...Gregor Smith gregors@att.net
I actually chose not to put in all the schools I've attended. I went straight from High School to University of MN, Mankato. I went there for 2 years studying Environmental Sciences (not conducive to an IT career). I then went to Palm beach Community College for a short period.
I started in Tech Support at NTT/Verio where they had a very intense 8 week training period. I worked the late shift, 10pm - 8am answering phone calls and fixing client's websites. I then went to Network operations, then to Network Administration. It's alot of fluff I didn't feel was needed in my resume. I truly wanted to keep it to the point with some highlights. I've trained multiple overseas teams. The last time i did it i was training and writing support documentation for my replacements in India.
Right now, I just want a job.
