Hi John,
We are now in day 2 of the Pickens Plan Virtual March on Washington and I want to encourage you to go to the Take Action tab on the main website and spend a minute making your voice count by sending a message to our Senators and Congressman. This is the largest action undertaken to date by the PP and is really the first opportunity for all of us members to actively participate in one effort. We hope to have over 3 million messages delivered each day for the 4/1 to 4/3 period. I also encourage you to take a look at the NJ-04 district website once in a while to see whats going on here in NJ. Hope all is well.
Hi John: Noticed that Jim Graul sent you this message in error. There can be a bit of confusion regarding District areas, so I apologize for any confusion. Living in Brick you are in NJ-04 and I invite you to visit our website to get an idea of what our local group is doing to promote the Pickens Plan. If you sign up for NJ-04 I will be able to easily let you know of upcoming events, such as local meetings and new initiatives such as the Virtual March that T. Boone Pickens has asked us all to take part in. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions, thoughts, or ideas on the Plan.
Regards.
Mike Morton- NJ-04 District Leader
I am Jim Graul the District Leader. I am trying to organize and get started with meetings. Please add me as your friend so you will receive the e-mails and be kept up on whats going on in your district. Let's get things going.
John: My name is Mike Morton and I am also a resident of Brick and am part of the Pickens Plan's group here in District 4 of NJ. We are planning on having our first group informal meeting on January 7th at 7:30pm at the Barnes and Noble bookstore in Brick Plaza. I did not see your name on our list of members, of which there are only 13 currently, but would like to extend an invitation to you to come over and join us and perhaps also join our group. We are looking to grow in membership and become an effective tool in getting the Pickens' Plan in front of as many people as possible. Only then can we approach the new Administration in D.C. with a strong appeal to make alternative energy an immediate priority. I believe the time is right because there will finally be an administration willing to listen and consider these ideas in a favorable light. I look forward to hearing from you.
I agree with your posting on November 5th. Why should we wait for the government to act. We could get a groundswell of donors to give to the wind turbine fund, and get T Boone Pickens to build them. I'd be willing to give!

I am looking for micro wind companies with a track record ( not easy to find ) that I can invest in, any leads would be greatly appreciated.
I have found one in N. Dakota
Promana ticker PSLU did a reverse split and its assets were taken over via a merger by Crownbutte Wind Power on July 31st 2008, Crownbutte board replaced Promana board July 31st 2008
Crownbutte completed a private placement Aug 1st 2008 to build, own
and operate an approved 200 megawatt wind project with 134 turbines in
southwestern North Dakota estimated cost to build $30,000,000.
Project value upon completion and before tax credits is $50,000,000.
CBWP has been consulting for and building wind power farms in North
Dakota since 1999.

Stock in new entity is available ticker CBWP now.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
John,
TRANSPORTATION is the master key to basic survival, and the cornerstone of the economy. We all know that transportation presently depends on oil production, and oil production is peaking. We must focus first on transportation – it is the highest priority.
The PickensPlan to transition vehicles to natural gas is a great start toward 100% energy independence, but is a stop-gap measure till we can transition to all electric transportation. Electric energy is strained without adding transportation demands; so we must drastically improve efficiency .
Evacuated Tube Transport (ETT) is a patented technology where travel occurs without air friction or rolling resistance (like “Space Travel on Earth”); ETT can accomplish 50 times more transportation per kWh (or carbon credit) than electric cars or trains. ETT is silent, low cost, safe, faster than jets, and is electric so it can make maximum use of wind or PV power. I invite you to visit my page to learn more about ETT
Subsidized housing is one thing, but using taxpayer monies to pay for people's mistakes on their mortgages is crazy. If you want to live in a Socialist country, I suggest you try China or Russia, anywhere but the US. We do not need any more socialization.
Ya I know - I want to see people put thoier money where thier mouth is. I want an E85 FF Ford Escape Hybrid. The problem is that it is not made, and I dont actually want ethanol here in Texas - I want E85 to be developed as a local market.
It is a pretty safe bet most of the tankers headed for Norfolk are supplying the military, ie, the war.
How much of our scarce commodity do you think we are burning on these debacles. How many years before they become friends. Maybe not in this case. Those fools have been fighting since Obama was born in the manger.
Holy Crap - Your mind thinks like mine - except you can articulate it better. I sent you a friend request. If you dont mind it will help me keep tabs on your input and activity.
Capstone turbine by the way makes fuel fired turbines not wind turbines. These small fuel fired turbines are mostly fired with natural gas, though all fuels can be used.
Small wind to me is very important. Like was mentioned below there are thousands of potential spots for small wind turbines of the 10kw size, even several can be installed in one area like a parking lot of a major store. Assuming the wind is ok, the store should be able to generate all the power it needs. Couple this with rooftop solar and you will make more than you need. The good thing about coupling solar and wind is that wind can generate 24 hours a day, and feed the grid thus deriving payback even when the store is closed. Solar will be a good source during the open hours of the store except the evenings.
We have so many options, just have to do it.
I thought of small wind turbines along the boardwalk at Jenkinson's in Point Pleasant NJ. They could space them about 100 feet apart, and could probably get two rows in. I figure 50 would be about right. Tha would be a half megawatt, probably enough to run all the power for the consession stands.
John email me at beetem@sbcglobal.net. Please tell me the steps process to invest and buy shares in either ESLR or Capstone Turbine. Thank you for your time.
Hi John,
There is a lot of confusion in regard to hydrogen. People tend to confuse several different things together and end up with a somewhat distorted picture as a result. I have included some links to my stuff in my profile now.
Hydrocarbons are indeed the source of most if not all the hydrogen that is sold commercially today. Even that is only partially true because this hydrogen is produced by oil refineries via the steam reformation process which involves reacting thousand degree steam with the hydrocarbon in the presence of a catalyst. The result is that the carbon from the hydrocarbon bonds to the oxygen from the water and in so doing both the hydrocarbon and the water release their hydrogen atoms. So the resulting hydrogen is half from water and half from the hydrocarbon (this percentage depends on the hydrocarbon being used).
The steam reforming/partial oxidation process can be and has been adapted to on-board vehicle fuel production. This allows you to run a vehicle on hydrogen, half of which is from gas and the other half from water. It cuts your hydrocarbon fuel needs by up to 60% and your CO2 emissions by an equal percentage.
This process can be used with petroleum based fuels as well as with other compounds of hydrogen and carbon such as alcohol and even sugar. Since this process is done on-board and on demand it eliminates the problems of a storage and distribution infrastructure for hydrogen fuel and allows us to use our existing system. This can also be retrofitted on existing vehicles.
Let's not forget small wind either. There are many opportunities for 10 kwh towers to be installed at shopping centers, baseball fields, parking lots, train stations, highway rest stops, yes, even on the property of our nuclear, gas, and coal plant properties. Small wind is a lot less efficient than the big turbines, but very versatile as to where they can be installed. School properties as well, and what a great way to help educate our children than to show alternative energy generation in action.
One thing I would also do, is to put an US flag either painted on the wind turbine towers or a flag on the top. This is a National pride opportunity and way to get us out of our "gas price" funk we are in.
