Morning Chris

100CLUB is a featured group. Here is the link:

http://push.pickensplan.com/groups

I started it over the summer to encourage folks who have the desire to bring others to the plan. It is to recognize the foks who gather 100 or more new supporters. We have some great folks there, with excellent skills to share. Visit the site. Ask any questions. Would be honored to have you in the 100CLUB, CHRIS! The last 6 new members in JAnuary were all guys.... need some ladies on the team.

Thanks Chris. That is a generous offer. I'm sure some of the District
Leaders would love to take you up on that.

Good Morning, Chris!

Several weeks ago you offered to help with the 100 Pledge Push Challenge. I would be so happy to hear how it is going. We are fast approaching Inauguration Day and need to ramp up our numbers asap.
How close are you to 100?

As Thomas Friedman stated (DAILY PICKENS) we must build a huge grass roots effort to get this accomplished.

Please update me.
Gratefully Best,
Kim

WE CAN DO THIS!

Hi Chris

It has been a while since we kept in touch last!

We are now over 1.2 million suporters. We will need many more if we are to beat back the damn lobbyists and special interests. Can you help with the pledges? Every American needs to sign on. With pledges we can fan out and reach so many. It is an easy ask- Boone has done the hard work. I was able to get 300 signed in the first 4 days - everyone wants to to get off of foreign oil. We may never have a golden opportunity like this again!
ARE YOU IN?

Best

Hi Chris!

Please congratulate Dianna Brown, she has joined the 100CLUB today- for those that fax/send in more that 100 signed pledges! In addition to her pledge push success, she drives the Welcome Wagon often, providing a steady and passionate hand in sharing our goals to new members.
She is a Picken's Hero!

Best to you,
Kim

Hope you can push pledges - for Senators, Representatives and Governors, as well as all American Citizens! We need you - ARE YOU IN?

Hi Chris

Please congratulate Karen Nardella for being invited to the 100CLUB this morning- for faxing/sendng in more than 100 signed pledges. She is a Picken's hero! Her story is on the 100CLUB Group page - read how she accomplished it!

Kim

I hope all is well with you. We could still use your help, Chris!

Hi Chris

I hope you will participate in the "100CLUB" for folks that send in 100 or more signed pledges. If just 6% (10,000) of us do this we get our 1 million just like that. I got over 260 signed pledges in just one week. It is an easy ask. Boone has done the hard work.

NEED YOU WITH US!
ARE YOU IN?

Best
Humblest thansk for your efforts

Hi Chris

Glad you are here. Linda and I are friends. I can see a real go getter a mile way. Could really use your help. Creating the 100 CLUB, for those that get 100 pledges signed and faxed back! Please help by leading through example. I have sent in 240 so far. It is the easiest ask- Boone has done the hard work. All we need to do is hitch our wagon to his horse and plow to the finish. Do we have the fortitude? I hope so. We aren't asking folks to take up arms. But this IS our revolution. And we have a very small window to get it done. Are you in?

Best

I see you have been on for awhile.
Welcome and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan. Here is how you can help.

EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES BY USING OUR EASY RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON – On the main page…

This is urgent, because the Energy Bill in Congress is in danger of not passing! With little effort, we have the ability here for you to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too. Go to THE PLEDGE (at the very top of this page on the blue header) On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue ones and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS" . Fill in the short, standard form. Done!

You CAN ALSO HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who are trying to derail this historic effort.

YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE PLEDGE on the main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back ASAP. When we are millions strong, we can achieve this.

THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
...to wait and see...or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

FOR MORE INFORMATION
Check out Pickens "August Call to Action"- for a course of action! Here is an informative video "Topeka, Kansas Town Hall Meeting": http://www.pickensplan.com/news/2008/08/04/video-of-the-topeka-town-hall

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy.
If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

A GROUP FOR EVERYONE Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.

PLEASE FRIEND ME so we can keep in touch. I do updates on new member numbers and pertinent info.

Thanks again for joining this historical effort. WE CAN DO THIS…

Hello there Chris,
My 'sense' is not for 3 years.... that is another way of saying that there is alot of technology that you and I are both seeing in 'the news;' however, it is not purchase-able.
Though I am risking describing two items to you that you probably already know, but I do not want to run of risk of such not being the case.
The best warranted, effectively priced highest wattage per sq. ft. is generally thought to be SunPower ..... take a look -
http://www.sunpowercorp.com/Products-and-Services/Residential-Solar-Panels.aspx... there are pdf download with specs.
Beyond that, you would need to do either some type of "CSP" (aka, Concentrated Solar Power) and/or tracking.... and tracking can be both up and down and side to side < this would, of course, add to the amount of sun power processed through any panels per day.
If sq. footage is 'the challenge,' and energy/money savings is one of the desired outcomes... have you had a chance to look at solar thermal water heating with either flat panel OR evacuated tube collectors?

Key Policy Recommendations for a Cleaner, Greener Energy Future

* Provide multiyear tax incentives for renewable-energy production and energy-efficiency projects.

* Set national mandates that would require utilities to get at least 20 percent of their electricity from wind, solar and geothermal energy by 2020.

* Add and updating the building code to require energy-efficiency measures in the construction of new buildings and the renovation of existing buildings, and setting a goal to reduce buildings' energy use 50 percent by 2030.

* Set prices for carbon-dioxide emissions and creating a program that caps emissions from different industries and allowing companies to trade emissions allowances.

* Upgrade and expanding the nation's electric grid to enable it to support electric cars and the transport and storage of renewable energy.

* Provide incentives for utilities to invest in energy-efficiency technologies.

* Increase the fuel efficiency of cars and trucks and investing more money in private-public partnerships that would develop transportation systems that rely on little or no oil, such as electric cars.

* Provide incentives to consumers and small businesses to buy plug-in hybrid cars and alternative fuels, including natural-gas-powered cars.

* Invest more federal dollars in cleantech research and development, including ways to capture and store carbon-dioxide emissions from coal-fired power plants.

* Speed up the process of setting aside public lands and improving the permitting process for renewable-electricity projects on public lands.

* Shift from ethanol made from corn to ethanol made from wood chips, agricultural waste and other nonfood feedstock, and encouraging a joint U.S.-Brazil partnership to turn sugar cane into ethanol in the Caribbean.

Keep the message going! Business and indpendent intitiative always lead the way and create innovation. Government always follows or stands in the way of progress with outdated regulations.
