Hi PP member,
Please checkout this website, as this is a Sun, Heat and Wind energy system in one, please give us your feedback as we try to improve it.

Key Policy Recommendations for a Cleaner, Greener Energy Future

* Provide multiyear tax incentives for renewable-energy production and energy-efficiency projects.

* Set national mandates that would require utilities to get at least 20 percent of their electricity from wind, solar and geothermal energy by 2020.

* Add and updating the building code to require energy-efficiency measures in the construction of new buildings and the renovation of existing buildings, and setting a goal to reduce buildings' energy use 50 percent by 2030.

* Set prices for carbon-dioxide emissions and creating a program that caps emissions from different industries and allowing companies to trade emissions allowances.

* Upgrade and expanding the nation's electric grid to enable it to support electric cars and the transport and storage of renewable energy.

* Provide incentives for utilities to invest in energy-efficiency technologies.

* Increase the fuel efficiency of cars and trucks and investing more money in private-public partnerships that would develop transportation systems that rely on little or no oil, such as electric cars.

* Provide incentives to consumers and small businesses to buy plug-in hybrid cars and alternative fuels, including natural-gas-powered cars.

* Invest more federal dollars in cleantech research and development, including ways to capture and store carbon-dioxide emissions from coal-fired power plants.

* Speed up the process of setting aside public lands and improving the permitting process for renewable-electricity projects on public lands.

* Shift from ethanol made from corn to ethanol made from wood chips, agricultural waste and other nonfood feedstock, and encouraging a joint U.S.-Brazil partnership to turn sugar cane into ethanol in the Caribbean.

We the people have been screwing up since 1973. We have allowed ourselves to be come dependent on people who do like us or our way of life. We need to pressure congress, the President and Supreme court. The 535 people who whole court over us. Reduce or get rid of lobbyist so that our elected legislators listen to us or go home!!!!
Together we have such a knowledge and power base we can and will correct our delima, not easy or fast, but necessary.
I am for looking at any type of alternative energies as long as it frees us from people who have no respect for us just our dollars. So we may continue as the greatest nation on earth.
Congress and the President need to lead, follow ar get the Hell out of the way! Unfortuntaly we are lock into petroleum for a short time as we develop alternatives. T Boone has the plan and it can be expanded. Lets do it.

Join us at Carbon Neutral as we move forward with our plans to Flip a City.

Vacant Buildings - Holyoke

Download the pdf (4 MB) and get a sense of where we have to start.

Then watch us grow and implement a plan to install grid tied solar pv systems on all rooftops, and most importantly, bring an entire City back to life as Carbon Free as possible.

Hi,

Enjoyed seeing your comments on the leadership board and want to offer you an invitation to join group discussions on the creation of an investment fund that will jump start the Pickens Plan. Step onto the court and let me know your thoughts.

Kind Regards,

The synergy created between diverse groups united for common cause is what makes this plan so effective. It will cause the developers in all energy sectors to bring their best ideas forward, and out of that unity will come even better ideas than what is on the front of the proposal. Here are some of my sites of interest:
AlternativeEnergy.com/groups

Green Mechanical Council: GreenMech.org , which offers Training for Trainers in Mechanical Systems;

And GoGreenSolar to find contractors for installations.

Yes Kenneth You are correct in the past we all have paid for useless widgets . But someone must pay for all we have. Thats why their are 3 basic ways to pay for products. 1 public investment (government thru taxes) 2 private (stock or other means) 3 pay as we go (cost paid directly paid by consumer) remember nothing in life is free and their is always a price. The differance now is that we can contribute to developing the product if not help lower the price .

Pickens plan is so centralized, much energy is lost in transmission. But it is better than building nuclear plants. I say we all put solar panels on our own houses and go from there. Soon we can charge our Chevy Volts and runn them without gasoline. I've been living in a solar powered house since 1997, and my water is caught and saved from rain. Cell phone. Gas stove and on demand water heater. Life is good, carbon print is small.

What are some problems that you may have with this plan. Let us debate this issue and maybe we will learn something along the way.
