Happy New Year Rachel,
Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Rachel, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.

Hi Rachel,

I invite you to join the group Paradigm Shift Institute. We currently have a nice group of people who have offered a variety of help with this project. Currently, we are in the long process of incorporation, setting up a board, filing 501 paperwork, etc. Any advice or help you could give on this would be great.

Best Regards,

Norman

Rachel,
TRANSPORTATION is the master key to basic survival, and the cornerstone of the economy. We all know that transportation presently depends on oil production, and oil production is peaking. We must focus first on transportation – it is the highest priority. The PickensPlan to transition vehicles to natural gas is a great start toward 100% energy independence, but is a stop-gap measure till we can transition to all electric transportation. Electric energy is strained without adding transportation demands; so we must implement drastic efficiency improvement.
Evacuated Tube Transport (ETT) is a patented technology where travel occurs without air friction or rolling resistance (like “Space Travel on Earth”); ETT can accomplish 50 times more transportation per kWh (or carbon credit) than electric cars or trains. ETT is silent, low cost, safe, faster than jets, and is electric so it can make maximum use of wind or PV power. I invite you to visit my page to learn more about ETT

Hello,

Please take a look at the executive summary on my page. We are in the process of establishing a nonprofit innovation laboratory in Houston Texas dedicated to inspiring young people to pursue technology careers and to the development of the next-generation of strategic technologies to meet our current global challenges. Alternative energy is a major focus of our program.
Right now, we are in need of people willing to sponsor our efforts or to finding sponsorship for us.
We believe this can be the beginning of an effort that can spread to other areas of the country and create a critical mass of new technology ideas and innovative technologists to meet the challenges.

Any assistance you could provide would be appreciated.

Best Regards,

Norman

Rach,
Thanks for the offer. My need right now is for funding to engage management, scientific and engineering assistance. My first step is to get this thing properly engineered and a genetic algorithm fluid dynamics analysis , which will probably entail lots of time and experienced technicians on a supercomputer.
Once the computer selects the most likely configurations, THEN is the time to consider building prototypes to build and compare their performance. Computer analysis can only take it so far, because the characteristics of vortices are still poorly understood, even among scientists who study them for a living.
I am not a scientist, engineer or technician, and after trying to sell this technology to government and industry for years, and trying to supervise construction of a precision prototype myself, I have had to admit to myself that I'm a lousy business man, perhaps because I don't enjoy BS very much.
This should be a miltibillion-dollar business, and a dominant technology by now. I hate to admit it, but my personal shortcomings are depriving the world of the benefits of it.
I'm working on finding smart, energetic, ethical business people with assets or the ability to raise them to get this thing off the ground.
Thanks for your interest,
Bil

It is just a package home, but pretty, with 8 [panels on the south facing portion of roof, and view of ocean and a stream on the edge of the property. But I have a nice BIG pie3ce of land for sale about 30 miles away, with deep soil and bigg trees----in Mt. View at 1600 feet elevation, between Hilo and VOlcano town. Easy commute to hilo or the beach parks there---they are tiny but exquisite places to swim! ANyway, 75 acres opf forest for $539000., or even cheaper if all cash. Actually, I d like to carry paper on half of it. Or go to my website and see my horses at ISLAND.ReadyWebsites.com. I am going to set up another website soon to do solar consulting. I can see fromo Piockens site how LITTLE PEOPLE REALLY KNOW about what it takes. I dont have anything to add, just my blog and the SOLAR IS HERE< USE IT forum. Nice to hear from you. It is a great island, and I have lived on Maui and Oahu too. Grew up in Hawaii. Went to Punahou School, on scholarship, like Obama.

Rach,
Thanks for your interest. There is an animation of how the device works on my Pickins page videos of the working model working are pretty boring, because "you can't even tell it's running", as one wind power expert commented after observing it a work.

Rach,
We're currently working a number of hopeful routes to technical and financial help in developing this product. It is dirt-simple, but it is designed to be mass-produced, so making millions of them should be very cheap (per unit), but engineering, building and testing quality prototypes will require lots of scientific talent and lots of money, so I hope Mr. Pickins will take a shine to it.
I have a crude scale model, which works quite well, considering its smallness and crudeness.

Rachel,
Glad you're onboard too. That device on top of the building is computer generated from the 3D CAD files of my device. It may be a big part of the solution to the fossil fuels addiction. Essentially, it is designed to solve aqll the challenges that make conventional wind energy conversion devices present: it is silent, vibration-free, works well in turbulent winds, like you get in cities, with all the vertical obstructions that exist there. It is also compatible with built-in short-term energy storage, and pollution-free compressed-air long-term storage, because it can be run by compressed air in the absence of wind.
Best Regards,
Bil McDavid
