I am new at this and am curious. I wrote a comment before and it disappeared. Was that because I wasn't logged in yet?

Hi,
You are the first to contact me. We are new to Texas - not quite a year. Have pretty much settled but do not know too many people yet. Love the idea of alternative energy. California, where we are from, has tons of those 'windmills' to produce energy. I was impressed by that couple on TV who are from Texas and have installed one on their property.

Hi Cindy, just stopping in to say Hi. Let me know if I can help you in any way. Stay safe in Texas. I know weather is tricky down there this time of year. I've only been there once. I visited Dallas back in 1998 for a convention. It was beautiful, but very hot.
Take care and talk to you soon.

Cindy,
TRANSPORTATION is the master key to basic survival, and the cornerstone of the economy. We all know that transportation presently depends on oil production, and oil production is peaking. We must focus first on transportation – it is the highest priority. The PickensPlan to transition vehicles to natural gas is a great start toward 100% energy independence, but is a stop-gap measure till we can transition to all electric transportation. Electric energy is strained without adding transportation demands; so we must drastically improve efficiency .
Evacuated Tube Transport (ETT) is a patented technology where travel occurs without air friction or rolling resistance (like “Space Travel on Earth”); ETT can accomplish 50 times more transportation per kWh (or carbon credit) than electric cars or trains. ETT is silent, low cost, safe, faster than jets, and is electric so it can make maximum use of wind or PV power. I invite you to visit my page to learn more about ETT

Cindy,

I saw you are a part of the "slow down and save money and gas" group.

There are more simple things that we can all do on a daily basis that arent just limited to your car.... I've raised my gas mileage by 15% and lowered my electric bill by about 10%.

I've been collecting ideas and posting them here... http://push.pickensplan.com/forum/topic/show?id=2187034%3ATopic%3A193424 Check it out, please throw your two cents in, I'm always looking for new ideas.

Thanks,
-MG

It really does! But, it's a very important cause... and I think the only way we will get anything done is by coming together as a group, and doing whatever we can to help out. Seems like the right thing to do!!

Cindy,

True. Not an actual friend though. Just someone who contacted me on this site because he saw I was a lawyer. How is Texas? Hurricanes? Tornadoes? Great state. I have only been there about 4 times. But you folks sure do have some interesting wheather.

Cindy,

What sort of work do you do? Anything related to the legal field?

One of the more over-exuberant members of this site apparently began soliciting finfancial donations without first having a chartable fund IRS number. That is frowned upon by the IRS and he is panicked that he will be prosecuted for a completely innocent attempt to support this cause.

I told him to relax, but I need to put him in touch with a good lawyer from Houston or the surrounding area. I took a chance, seeing that you are from the great state of Texas, that you may know a lawyer with whom I could talk tomorrow about the problem.

Thanks,
Joe Doherty
