Evening MArg!

I hope you are still here, you were one of the first folks I met back in July, when we were just a little tadpole. We have come so far.... hope you can help turn us into a shark!

Our new Congress is sworn in less than 10 days from now - they must be told loud and clear that we demand their action to reduce our dependance on foreign oil! The threat of political suicide, if they do not, is the only language of action.

WE CAN DO THIS. We need your help. THERE IS NO INFLUENCE WITHOUT NUMBERS!

Please watch the latest amazing "Boone Cam".

Please download the petition, get them filled in and fax them back fast. If all of us do this small thing we can build this effort to millions!

Best and Happiest!
Kim

Please let me know how it goes. If you get 100 we would be honored to have you in the 100CLUB! It is easy, Boone has done the hard work. EVERYONE wants to get off foreign oil - we just need to gther their names!

Hi Marg!

We need to keep our eye on the goal. Please get 10 signed pledges faxed in today. As Thomas Friedman states (DAILY PICKENS) only a loud and large grass roots effort will force Washington into action. The Gang of 20 has said the same thing. THE ONLY WAY TO GET A CHANGE IN AMERICAN ENERGY POLICY IS TO BUILD THIS HISTORICAL EFFORT TO UNIGNORABLE HEIGHTS. The clock is ticking- less than 75 days until INAUGURATION DAY. We must concentrate on the job at hand. PLEASE GET 10 today.

THANK YOU!
Kim

Marg If you go back to my web site under the utilties links look under smepa.coop Coast Electric is part of the coop. Guy Johnson is a eng. who is our contact we are working close with all utilities working to help our customers. The coop has not develop a policy yet we are working with them on a deal to deal basic. I'm am working to change pollicy with elected officals and utilites in six state area. we are on the cutting edge, We will be the first to go state wide working with the utilities to get our customers a bi-directional meter which allows electricity to go both direction, Mississippi power will pay you each month if you generate more energy than you purchase. Their are no incentives at the federal and at the state level for our people now. I hope to change this. At the business level there are loans and tax credits.I will let you know when things change. I believe in the people. I think we can change things for the good of the people. Make God bless you. James

Hi Marg,

You make a very good point and one we, along with others, are working on. Watch the Mariah Power site for more information over the next few days.

You may also want to know the Federal Tax credit I keep harping about, is a 30% Tax Credit. In many states, there is a 20% tax credit and in some counties and/or cities there is another 10% tax credit. If all the above is true where you live it would mean you are reducing you cost on Alternative Energy installations by 60%. That is a sweet deal for the consumer. Another thing to take into consideration is the Windspire is considered an "Appliance" and can be Depreciated 100% over five years. As long as Congress does not screw this up, and lets the consumer keep the 30% tax credit, the information I just gave you means the consumer can get into Alternative Energy products and make themt pay off.

One more thing to consider. Once you have your solar, wind and other energy saving devices, the Utility company will keep right on increasing their rates. The more things you have in place to offset their higher rates, the better!

Watch for financing options. They are coming.

Thanks for contacting me.

Gasoline in our county is the highest in the State. It went up as high as $4.50 a gallon. We have to do something and the Perkens Plan is the right way to start.

Hi,

Thanks for the speedy reply. Do you have any plans to convert any of your home or auto items over to any of the alternative energy resources?

Do you belong to any local organizations?

:)
