Happy New Year Bruce,
Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Bruce, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.
BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.

Welcome aboard Bruce!
Your Blogs are right on the mark, and the new Residential PV Solar group is great. Very good discussions.
I would like to invite you to another group, with a slightly larger audience of PP Members, where you may post links back to your discussions & groups: Solar Power!(Click here)
Reaching accross this great country from sunrise to sunset, add your collective experience, drive & determination to support this vital global resource, and maintain the American technological lead.
We want to keep creating ways to tap this vital resource, not just for the future, but for tomorrow.
Let's find a way to get organized, working together with our neighbors.
We did take the plunge and installed solar panels this month. I was worried about the cost but after more research I could kick myself for not installing earlier. My monthly home improvement payment is smaller that my monthly electric bill. We recieved a $17,400 rebate from the electric company which is part of a Federal incentive plan. We recieve a one time $2,000 tax credit on 08 taxes. The loan is tax deductable. You can ask for substantially more when you sell your home. The county will not increase my property taxes. You won't need to pay capital gaines on the solar panel portion of home sale, but pocket it tax exempt. Best thing yet, you get back every penny when you sell your home. Oh ya, It feels great being self suffient and doing your part in removing that small bit money from America hating OPEC nations. My energy will increase 7-10% per year, doubling my bill in 10 years. The rebate keeps going down (%)each year until it runs out.
Bruce, I enjoy reading your coments and am very interested in what you have to say. I have`nt had the experiense you have but I do surround my self with bright people. I just enjoy learning, Always have. I to dont trust many of the same people you mentioned, everyone always have there motives and 9 times out of 10 its money. So I will continue to research and study on many topics and hopfully it will at the very least make me a better person because of it. I will continue to share anything I find of relevance and look forward to our discussions. Till then good night for now.
Bruce; thank you for clearing that up for me. I left your comment posted for anyone lse to read. I also went to youtube to review more vidieos and did some checking on the computer and found some people claim the have kits to install in your gas powerd viehecle. Quite frankly some look dangerous to me.There is one guy that says his buggie runs strickly on water, he was killed. You may have heard of him Stan Meyers. I dont wish to get into a debate about this. I`m just sharing information and everyone makes there own oppinion.I posted some videos on the subject . Check them out if you wish. Thanks.
Hey Bruce; I recieved an email telling people to stop wasting time on discusions about water as an energy source. I`d like for you to check out the video I posted called Salt water as fuel and the related videos and let me know if you still feel the same.I am not a scientest but it seems tome that the laws of thermodynamics might have to be rewriten.
Hey Bruce, here is a link to Mimo's so called technical page on this process. I would be interesed on your take on some of the additional info from the links on this page to details and sources.
As you said "It is simply against the laws of thermodynamics", can you send me any reference to learn more about it when it comes to use water as a fuel.
I agree with you, but it will be good idea to keep this search open and keep harvesting this source as energy, for example, Hydrogen Production from Water, etc,
we may come up with ways to make it economical and resourceful.
Hello! My name is Andrew Lewis. I'm an official Online Organizing Director for Picken's Plan notifying you of a call to action.
We are gearing up house parties in communities all over the United States to spread the word about Picken's Plan and get communities plugged in to real renewable energy reform.
Since your the creator of this group I was curious if you may know some people making plays in your group who would be interested in hosting a house party. The more house parties the better!

Bruce, our system logged 4155 kwh from March 8, 2007 to March 8, 2008. I attribute the high number to the fact that our mods are amorphous silicon and they have the ability operate in low light conditions. Of course the overall # of sunny days will have the biggest effect on system output.
Bruce, Thank you for joining the Communications Support group. With your incredible background in this area, and the information you've already accumulated on your page, you will be a great resource for our group. Please share with us your ideas and suggestions on how our group can better assist members of the Pickens Plan in understanding and navigating the site, getting involved, and organizing. Thank you again. Ron
This looks to be a very inforative page I will go through thanks .If I see some interesting things Ill send them your way.
Our town is not doing grid credit for any extra electric to feed back they are not in my opinion being pro active towards green. Im looking for info to push them with and or to use with others to get this wind and solar moving .
One issue is the grid to house and house to solar wiring configuration and material for tyoical applications to be used???
yeah Bruce, California has the best of both worlds, Highe Rates and a robust incentive.
Austin Texas' Utility will provide residents a $4.50 per watt rebate! at around $8 /watt to install, this is a great incentive too. I've been told that you need to offset at least $.10 a kWh in order to achieve payback on a 3kW system before it's warranty expires. When you are looking at commercial applications, the numbers change a bit. Either way, I'm afraid we'll see install costs increase once the rest of the US gets on board and starts offering rebates and incentives.
Hello Bruce,
When you consider putting solar on your house, wouldn't it be nice to only need to create 1/4 the power a 'Built to code' home uses? New homes can easily be built to use $0.025 per SF energy, versus the national average of $0.10/SF. This is 75% less energy. The result without using solar, wind, or PV's makes the need for alternate energy sources even less 'cost' desirable. For existing homes I agree with you, add solar and PV's if you can afford, or finance, the upfront costs and you are in it for the long haul. My proven statements come from - www.allwallsystem.com
I read Thomas Rellick's comment and concur 100%, based on the 6400 SF home with 4,800 SF conditioned space costs that I bid out. $32,000.00 was the proposed cost, afterk rebates, incentives, etc.

For your info, Auntie Tutu wrote that all of Hawaii's electric utilities run on imported crude oil.

Thanks for the Brown's Gas aka HHO bash / blast! I really hate that stuff and the scammers that peddle it.
