Replicating the success of Gainesville, Florida and introducing a Renewable Energy Dividend policy will bring widespread economic recovery and job creation to Florida, while establishing energy security and environmental stewardship.
Try to wear YELLOW. It can be a shirt, hat, scarf, ANYTHING to give a bolder message!

As I'm sure you've seen from the traffic on the site, we're making a big push in the next couple of days to delivered printed copies of the Pickens Pledge petitions to the local campaign offices of the presidential candidates.
In addition to some of the smaller local offices the candidates have set up, I want to make sure we get the petitions delivered to the state headquarters offices for Obama and McCain in Florida. Obama's state HQ is in Tampa; McCain's is in Tallahassee.
Among the Florida members you've interacted with on Push, are there any folks who come to mind in Tampa or Tallahassee for whom it might be fairly convenient to drop by one of the candidates' HQs?
There is now a brand new group just for the Tampa Bay area. Please join and let's see what an impact we can make. I think it would be great if we can organize some sort of meet up and work together. If you agree here is the group to join and get things started! Get in on the ground floor and be a difference-maker.

Of course there would be no exchange of any funds or property until the 501C approval.
I believe we have one of the most viable projects being proposed here and one that can grow into something that can boost both education and technology creation. My purpose in this isn't to get rich, but to see great things happen.

TRANSPORTATION is the master key to basic survival, and the cornerstone of the economy. We all know that transportation presently depends on oil production, and oil production is peaking. We must focus first on transportation – it is the highest priority. The PickensPlan to transition vehicles to natural gas is a great start toward 100% energy independence, but is a stop-gap measure till we can transition to all electric transportation. Electric energy is strained without adding transportation demands; so we must drastically improve efficiency .
Evacuated Tube Transport (ETT) is a patented technology where travel occurs without air friction or rolling resistance (like “Space Travel on Earth”); ETT can accomplish 50 times more transportation per kWh (or carbon credit) than electric cars or trains. Thanks for the comment. Actually I spent 26+ in the Air Force. Worked power generation and electronics where I got the interest in electric vehicles. I believe that medium-speed electric vehicles can offer some people an alternative solution for urban communting. Hope you will join the effort.l
Under my Solar plan, I use heat in the winter for schools, heat in the summer to make A/C where it is advantagous. Many of the 11 sights are ideal for both A/C and heating. Because these systems need more maintenance, I am sure we can get Union Support also. Check the plan out at CoolingEarth.org
