Merry Christmas Sherry,
This year I have helped so many members learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about power use, conservation, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my energy costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Sherry, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, oklahoma: I just posted an article about Home Wind Systems in oklahoma. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "soft policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. You should read that article, important.

Greetings Sherry,
Our cost effective, new roof mounting residential wind turbine kits are shipping now. They are sleek, attractive, and well designed. These are actually a home appliance on the roof, much like an antennae or satellite dish. They are as easy to install as other home appliances, like dishwasher, home theatre, etc. It's a nice clean way for you to begin your Personal Energy Plan. These systems are inexpensive, easy to install, scaleable.

Your Wind blows stronger in winter, Your Sun shines stronger in summer. This hybrid wind/solar system combines these cycles to give a more even flow of energy year round. This homeowner sized wind/solar system provides free power for your home. Many customers have found it easy to become customer/dealers of our kits. Customers can become a dealer with no further investment, they see quickly how people are easy to get interested.

I have used the same systems save money on my electricity costs from day one and Sherry, you can too. Your local wind resources are so good in Oklahoma. Check these windmaps and see can you pinpoint what number your area is in. Zone 2 is OK, anything over 2 is (very) good. First double check your wind resources from the map and links below.

I received information that Nancy Pelosi has contributed a great sum of money to Pickens Plan. If this is the case I do NOT want to be involved in this plan. We need to drill NOW for our Oil independence and find a way to rid ourselves from foreign oil all together. Look what Russia is doing. This is only the start. Wind, Solar and other forms of energy are great..but what are we doing about our short term goals?

Hi Sherry……thank you for joining! Education is the key to knowledge, but where do we start? After you familiarize yourself with the information at this website, a wealth of additional information is available. We can look to Europe as our inspirational model for developing sustainable renewable energy. Countries like Denmark, Germany and Spain lead the way in this effort and have been there for the past 10-20 years - even more. Germany’s commitment through cooperatives and local municipalities has installed 19,000+ wind turbines and millions of solar collectors, both for solar hot water and electricity feeding the power grid.

The onshore and offshore installation of wind turbines in Denmark and Germany are producing 20% of all their electrical needs; in Spain, as much as 38% (please see examples in the photos on my page). We are 10 years behind in implementation compared to these countries!

I mention these examples to give us a direction for inspiration and point to where we could be heading with the Pickens Plan. The technology is already there and we do not have to reinvent the wheel. These are a few of the websites I would suggest you visit to see what others around the world have done and are doing:

1) The Solar Village – Freiburg, Germany. See: http://www.thesolarvillage.com/
2) The Folkecenter for Renewable Energy – Denmark.
See: http://www.folkecenter.net/gb/overview/publications/
Under VARIOUS, read: The transition from Fossil Fuels to the Renewable Energies
The whole website is excellent and you could spend hours there.
3) Google: Samso, Denmark. This is an island off the coast of Denmark that is completely self-sustaining. http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2008/07/07/080707fa_fact_kolbert
4) Read the article written by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. titled: “Global Warming: A Real Solution”

Here are a few great videos to see: “Saved by the Sun” a PBS NOVA video, and “A Crude Awakening” by Basil Gemlpke, et al. Americans need to mobilize and pressure our government representatives both on the state and national level. The Pickens Plan is a good place to foster discussion and share ideas and PUSH this plan! We can all share in this vital common cause. Good luck in your quest for a better more secure America….. Ask your friends to join the “PLAN”. Lee Ewald

Join us at Carbon Neutral as we move forward with our plans to Flip a City.

Vacant Buildings - Holyoke

Download the pdf (4 MB) and get a sense of where we have to start.

Then watch us grow and implement a plan to install grid tied solar pv systems on all rooftops, and most importantly, bring an entire City back to life as Carbon Free as possible.
