Question: Are the majority of the company cars for Mr. Picken's fleet running on NGV. If not, why not? If so, why not advertise that and how much is being saved? If this is really as smart as is being claimed, shouldn't all the wind power companies be using this for their vehicle fleets?

Good Question, Cory. One of TBP's companies, Clean Energy is in the business of supplying and building Natural Gas infrastructure (primarily refueling stations). In my neck of the woods, I do know that UPL (Utah Power & Light) do make extensive use of NGV's. The problem lies in the EPACT of 1992, which required agency fleets to use Alternative Fuel Vehicles (AFV). At first they did this with NGV's, but then found out they could make more money meeting the EPACT AFV requirements with E85 Flexfuel vehicles. Most people still fill their Flexfuel's with overseas (OPEC) oil. NGV's are proven, are being used worldwide (* million strong), are much cleaner and run on a plentiful affordable, DOMESTIC fuel. They make sense, if we have leadership willing to a) build new NGV's and b) provide the re-fuelling infrastructure.

Good video / interview Lee. A good friend of mine has a CNG truck. We have learned first of all that to get a certified conversion is 7 to 12 thousand dollars. 2nd, there are no, I repeat "NO" domestic car companies that are building CNG vehicles. Very sad. The only company that makes a CNG vehicle now is Honda, and they are selling the crap out of them right now. We need to put pressure on the domestic car companies that there is a market for CNG vehicles of small and large nature. There are alot of hurdles to jump over to get a variety of cars converted or EPA certifications on conversion units. We can do it. We just need to get people excited about it and get the private entrepreneureal sectors involved. Peace Roger.

Thanks, Roger, glad you enjoyed my little slideshow. make sure you share it wirth ten other people! As you know living here in Utah, we have made some progress in affordable, domestic transporatation fuel. No we have to share our success story with the rest of the country. If the auto industry doesn't wake up and build Natural Gas Vehicles (like they used to) they won't stay in business. "There are no Silver Bullets -- Just a whole bunch of Silver BB's." We need every alternative fuel solution we can get.

MADE-IN-USA renewable energy products & cleaner fuel options that work with today's infrastructure and beyond. We build multi-fuel, hydrogen (H2), methane (CNG), propane (LPG), electric (EV, HEV & PHEV), biodiesel (B100), SVO and ethanol (E85) automobiles, appliances and infrastructure. We promote the cleaner, safer, local fuels through educational workshops and engineering consultation. Reduce your footprint on the planet with American Fuel Vehicles (AFV's) and declare your energy independence.

Just last night I started to read Thomas Boone Pickens latest book, "The First
billion is the Hardest." Recieved book as a Birthday present from my wife last night. Although I only read the first three chapters, I can tell you it is a Must Read. Really fascinating. Reminds me of my upbringing and thinking. Just lacking the $. I do have the geologist credential. I am still working on my first billion$. I do believe
Boone is on the right track. Wake up America.
