Excerpt from one of Christine Breese's retreat/workshop lectures:

"No teacher can really teach a student anything, the student must discover the sat-guru within, the teacher that is inside us all. Only by direct experience can the truth be realized. Only by sitting in silence and waiting for the answers to come does the mystery finally unfold. Only by becoming aware of consciousness itself can the teacher within come forth. Then and only then can enlightenment be realized.” —Christine Breese

“Only by stopping your searching will you find what you are looking for. It has always been here right under your nose. No… actually… not under your nose. That’s silly. It is even closer than that! (audience laughs) When you realize that YOU are what you have been looking for, you have ended the great dilemma.”

“So what and who are you then? That is the real question. What is this phenomena that is you? How is it possible that you are even here? Well, consciousness is an amazing thing. It is everywhere, all around you, inside you, inside everyone else, everywhere. It is in the atoms, the molecules, the tachyons. It is in the animals, the rocks, the oceans and the trees. Consciousness animates all forms and yet it is not the form itself.”

“So who are you then if you are not your body, your name, or your form, or even a conglomerate of your experiences and history? Who are you if you are not a human? After all, your human form is but three blinks of an eye in the face of eternity and then it is just a memory, gone. So who are you then?”

“You are eternal awareness living in the eternal ever-unfolding now moment, awake and alive inside its own imagination. All of this is God’s imagination, you, me, we are all just dream objects. You are independent of form, independent of identity, independent of all experiences. Those are all just fleeting appearings and disappearings in the awareness that you are. Anything that comes and goes, begins and ends, it’s not real. The only thing that is really real is awareness itself. Nothing else is real.”

“When you discover this is what you are, eternal awareness that never dies, never has to fix anything, has never been harmed, and CAN’T be harmed, this is when the real adventure begins. This is when you are no longer a mortal being. You can live your life as an immortal now, realizing that your life goes on long after this form has come and gone, your experience of self never ends. When that happens, fear ends. When that happens, you no longer see people as just people. Rather you see them as more of your own self, for really, it is all just One Being having many lives, many forms and many experiences.”

THOUGHT VIBRATION by William Walker Atkinson

William Walker Atkinson (December 5, 1862 - November 22, 1932) was a very important and influential American figure in the early days of the New Thought Movement. He was an attorney, merchant, publisher, and author, as well as an occultist and an American pioneer of New Thought, which is in fact the title of a magazine he edited at one time. He is also known to have been the author of the pseudonymous works attributed to Theron Q. Dumont and Yogi Ramacharaka.

Atkinson's 1906 book Thought Vibration or the Law of Attraction in the Thought World, is associated with the thinking behind the recent phenomena surrounding the 2006 movie, The Secret.

Due in part to his intense personal secrecy and extensive use of pseudonyms, he is now largely forgotten, despite having obtained mention in past editions of Who's Who in America, Religious Leaders of America, and several similar publications -- and having written more than 100 books in the last 30 years of his life.

Get Rid Of The Burr That’s Under Your Saddle And Start Living A Res...

Posted by myselfhelp in Public Speaking Get rid of the burr under your saddle! Hey I’m Eddie Lawrence and I expend a lot of time preparing sermons and online bible studies for preachers and Bible teachers. It is part of the preacher’s life to share things with people that will help build up their lives. This article deals with the proverbial burr under the saddle that can trigger you to get thrown and perhaps to get hurt in life.

So what does this analogy refer to in relation to our everyday lives? The burr is that chip on your shoulder. Sorry, I couldn’t help it. I know better than to mix metaphors but this subject matter has a number of colloquial expressions. Burr under the saddle, chip on the shoulder, ants in your pants, ax to grind, something under your skin, and so forth. In simple terms, the burr is a grudge. An unforgiven deed against you. An mean word spoken to you. An accusation hurled toward you. All of these can be the nucleus of an unhealed wound that has developed into a full blown grudge. This burr can bring about a lot of nuisance for you and others if you don’t do away with it.

Have you ever thought of the actuality that you may be having a tough ride lately because of a burr under your saddle? Yes, a burr will make the horse buck. Here are some useful pointers concerning burrs:

1. A little pressure can create a big event. People with a burr under their saddle will start bucking with the least provocation. That’s a fancy way of saying tiny things tick them off. Wise King Solomon says,”Like wood kindles a fire a contentious man kindles strife.” If you have an unresolved grudge, life will present you with plenty of situations to be reminded of it.

2. The ground is hard. Getting bucked off hurts like the dickens. People with a burr under their saddle are battered up folks. These purple skinned people pull away speedily when touched. Unfortunately, a lot of times, the folks that are there to try to help break their fall can also end up getting shattered in the process.

3. The burr is not part of the horse. It is not obligatory equipment. Just get rid of it. You’ll have to peek under the saddle but it will be worth your efforts to do so. It’s better to do business with a splinter now than to hazard an amputated limb later. Deal with the life circumstances that can develop into grudges if you possibly can.

If you just need the battle, go to the rodeo but give the folks around you a break. Dealing with your grudge (oops sorry!) your burr can help you and those around you. As someone said, “Unforgiveness is like a person drinking poison and waiting on someone else to die.” Yea, kind of crazy isn’t it?

It's Time to Use Our Words to Declare Good Things

I once read an article about doctors who incorporated "talk therapy" to treat patients suffering with depression. Instead of medicating the problem, the doctors instructed the patients to start making positive declarations over their lives, saying such things as: "I have a bright future. People like to be around me. Good things are in store."

Some of the patients were depressed because they were facing life–threatening diseases and felt there was no hope. The doctor asked them, "Has anyone ever survived this disease?" The answers were always yes. So he told them, "Then I want you to start saying, 'I will make it. I will be one of the people who beats the odds.'"

Those patients obeyed the doctor's orders, and amazingly, many of them not only came out of their depression, but they also made full recoveries!

It's time to use our words to declare good things! Speak blessings over your life and your family. Throughout the day, say things such as, "I have the favor of God. I am strong and healthy. I'm well able to do what I need to do."

Did you know that what you say about yourself has greater impact on you than anything anybody else says about you? Many people are overly critical of themselves, saying, "I'm so clumsy. I can't do anything right." "I'm so overweight. I'll never get back into shape." "I never get any good breaks."

They may not realize it, but they are cursing their future. Those words sink into their minds. Before long, they develop a defeated mentality, low self–esteem and diminished confidence. Worse yet, those negative mindsets can interfere with God's plan for their lives.

One of the best ways to break free from such strongholds is simply by speaking words of victory. Every day, look in the mirror and declare, "God's Word says I am strong. God is fighting my battles for me. I'm excited about my future."

Maybe you are lonely because you don't have a lot of friends. Instead of complaining, start declaring, "God is bringing great people into my life. I know He loves me, so I can risk loving others."

Speak blessings over your life, and as you do, you'll go out with more confidence, you’ll be more congenial and, in turn, you will attract new friends.

When discouragement comes, instead of sitting back and accepting it, say, "No, I'm a victor and not a victim. I may have been defeated before, but the past is the past. This is a new day."

It's not enough just to think it; you need to hear it, because what we constantly hear ourselves saying we will eventually believe.

Some people live in a perpetual state of financial crisis. They can't seem to pay their bills " always living "under their circumstances" and constantly speaking defeat.
