China is buildiing 100 nuclear plants by 2020. Westiinghouse , an American company along with American Nuclear Engineers will be helping build these new breeder reactors. It's time we, as American wake up and become energy independant.
There needs to be a central, easy and useful source of information on the availability of alternative energy sources for the average Joe. It needs to get down to a local level. If I want natual gas -- if I want a natural gas car -- if I want a wind generator -- if I want solar cells, where and who do I go to for the best local information. Information on availability at the local level is needed.

Good message, the only direction we can take. I see bottled water on your desk? It takes quite a bit of imported oil to produce the plastic and transport the product; when we can get it for less than one cent from the tap. Not a good item to have in the background when talking about reducing imported oil.

@Alex W. Bottled water is a waste - transporting a heavy product using gasoline when the infrastructure exists to transport without fuel. Studies have shown that bottled water is more likely to be contaminated than tap water. Gavin Newsome in San Francisco has proposed that restaurants should no longer serve bottled water.

About some time we take action and get the country on board with an energy plan that works.
