Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:: I use to maintain a wind and solar 12 volt system on a ranch in eastern Washington state.

What excites you about this campaign?: taking back control of our energy resources in part. Getting more clean energy use going.

At 7:01am on September 19th, 2008, Ralph Thompson said…: I had a renewable energy business in Carson City, Nevada, but due to lack of interest and money by the state and public, I had to close the doors and move back to Tucson. I did design and build a mobile alternative energy unit, which called the Solorola. It was a 5'x8' enclosed trailer with 8 large deep cycle batteries, 8 each solar panels, 1 wind generator, charge controller and a 4KW inverter. It was all pre-wired for everything and ready to plug in to a small home, cabin and/or trailer. It was ready for Katrina trailers, but no callers. I just ran out of marketing money.
